But A Fleeting Illness

i know it doesn't do much to post a topic asking for a tab, but does anyone have a tab for this, or maybe a way to help me get started tabbing this song. i've never tabbed anything before, or even figured out anything by ear that i haven't learned to play before
think of all the paintings we would be without, if van goh had gone and died face down from loss of blood the night he went and hacked his ear off

Code: Select all

e|---------------------------------------------------------------|
B|---------------------------------------------------------------|
G|----444---4---4---4---4---4---4---4----------------------------|
D|----444-----2---2---2---2---2---2------------------------------|
A|----222--------------------------------------------------------|
E|---------------------------------------------------------------|

e|----------2---2---2---2---2---2---2----------------------------|
B|------------4---4---4---4---4---4------------------------------|
G|----444--------------------------------------------------------|
D|----444--------------------------------------------------------|
A|----222--------------------------------------------------------|
E|---------------------------------------------------------------|

Repeat that

e|---------------------------------------------------------------|
B|---------------------------------------------------------------|
G|-------------------444--------------------444------------------|
D|---2222222222222---444----6666666666666---444------------------|
A|---2222222222222---222----6666666666666---222------------------|
E|---0000000000000----------4444444444444------------------------|

Repeat that until the first verse starts, there's a pretty obvious change in strum pattern at some point.

For "Here we are" to "the blood still tastes the same" you just repeat the first part of the intro, except you strum the b and e strings at the very end.

e|---------------------------------------------------------------|
B|---------------------------------------------------------------|
G|---------------------------------------------------------------|
D|---2222---2222-------6666---6666----------Repeat---------------|
A|---2222---2222-------6666---6666-------------------------------|
E|---0000---0000-------4444---4444-------------------------------|
"Ash to ash, back to back and dust to dust..."

e|---------------------------------------------------------------|
B|---------------------------------------------------------------|
G|---------------------8888--------------------------------------|
D|---44444444---6666---8888-----2222222222222--------------------|
A|---44444444---6666---6666-----2222222222222--------------------|
E|---22222222---4444------------0000000000000--------------------|
"Can you hear your conscience crying..."

Just keep playing that until the chorus, adding strum pattern changes and palm mutes where appropriate

Chorus
e|---------------------------------------------------------------|
B|---------------------------------------------------------------|
G|-----------------4444444444---------------------999999999999---|
D|--2222222222-----4444444444----4--44--44--44----999999999999---|
A|--2222222222-----2222222222----4--44--44--44----777777777777---|
E|--0000000000-------------------2--22--22--22-------------------|

e|---------------------------------------------------------------|
B|---------------------------------------------------------------|
G|-----------------4444444444-----8--88--88--88--88888888888888--|
D|--2222222222-----4444444444-----8--88--88--88--88888888888888--|
A|--2222222222-----2222222222-----6--66--66--66--66666666666666--|
E|--0000000000---------------------------------------------------|

Then just repeat what you played the first time around or something, it's not that hard to figure out.

That's all I can remember right now, I haven't exactly put a lot of time into learning the whole thing, but that's what I can remember.

It's not perfect, but unless you're trying to get it completely spot on I reckon it'll do.
