Hi, I'm Nate and this is my first post here. I don't usually tab stuff out but I watched vids of people covering it on YouTube last night and I just don't like this song when it's played wrong. I just checked, AFTER tabbing this out in the message box, to see if this was the first tab for this on the internet at all. Found the one on ultimate-guitar.com but it's horrible, so I guess I'm good. Feedback appreciated.

Tabbed from this video:
http://www.rollingstone.com/videos/player/30096848

Code: Select all

Worked this out the other night. Pretty sure it's 99-100% accurate. No strum pattern included but it's not hard to figure out from the vid. Tuning is half-step down.

Verse Picking
*Note: Max plays a slight variation during one of these "4 note sets" in the video but I think it was accidental.

E|--------------------------------------------|
B|--------------------------------------------|
G|------3-------3-----------------------------|
D|--------4---4---4-----4-------4-------------|
A|----2-----2---------4---4---2---2-----------|
E|--4---------------2-------0-----------------|

Verse Chords
*Note: They're basically just the picked notes put together, if that helps anyone.

E|--------------------------------------------|
B|--------------------------------------------|
G|--3---3---3---3-----------------------------|
D|--4---4---4---4-----------------------------|
A|--2---2---4---2-----------------------------|
E|--4---0---2---0-----------------------------|

Chorus Chords
*Note: Max also sometimes continues to hold down on the G string when he slides up and plays 4665xx.

E|--------------------------------------------|
B|--------------------------------------------|
G|--4---3---3---------------------------------|
D|--4---4---4---6-----------------------------|
A|--2---2---4---6-----------------------------|
E|--0---4---2---4-----------------------------|

Spoken Word Chords ("Band-aid, just a bloody band-aid......to see who drops it first")
*Note: Max doesn't play 244xxx on every repeat.

E|--------------------------------------------|
B|--------------------------------------------|
G|--3---3-------------------------------------|
D|--4---4---4---4---4-------------------------|
A|--2---4---2---2---4-------------------------|
E|--4---2---0---2---2-------------------------|

From what I remember of it this sounds pretty solid. Good job
Self-inflicted or not, I find myself on the farthest star, foreign to everything like I woke up with a German tongue.

For the album it's up a step.

Yeah definitely. Not surprised by this as he seems to always play acoustic stuff a half step down.
