I've been watching vids to at least start figuring this out. I notice Jeff retunes (I THINK) his high E & B string before the 2nd part of the song where it's played clean. Just something to note.

Yeah I'm not good at figuring out stuff by ear either. Working on I Could Be President by ear is a lot more draining than watching him play Eloise and figuring it out was. Since I don't want to post uselessly without adding anything else, I think when he retunes the 1 or 2 strings, he's probably just using a tuning that's similar to some of the earlier Dashboard Confessional stuff. Something along the lines of tuning E & B to D and then muting the G-string since I'm fairly certain he's playing the notes during that part on the D-string exclusively. Just a note, that Dashboard tuning was DADDdd, half step down. Hope this helps someone since I'm not good at figuring this stuff out.

Hope you like it.

Fed To Death - Say Anything

NOTE: Max plays this a half step down, however I am posting a way to play
it in standard tuning. If you would like, I could post the one with
the half step down as well.

*Verse*

There was a man Who fed his son to death
  from allen town

|-222--666--444-------------9-9-9-9-9-9--444444---|

He calmly watched him gorge himself until his final breath
And there he stood surprised and shocked
Above his tiny frame
He said I bear no blame for this, I only share his name

There was a man from Nazareth the fools at war pervert
They forged an image of his flesh to brand on mugs and t-shirts
They say one day he'll spring to life
To smile and lear your name
So nail yourself upon the cross, and hang your head in shame
Forever

                     This is forever

That sounds more accurate to me for the first part of the verse but I still think 446xxx isn't the right chord. It sounds to me more like x46xxx but maybe I'm not hearing it right.

There are so many different ways you can play this,
but it's sounds the most like the cd. And I tabbed this
in less than an hour so I was too lazy to tab the little
licks in the song.

It's in E Flat tuning.

wow, I'm dumb. of course it's this slide. I thought it was it sounded lower,
what was i thinking. But i still think they hit some of this open strings on the cd
but it doesn't matter, we got the important parts of the riff. And this is the lead.
I think you're forever in our debt, smartalec1213 .
