Recently I've listened to Ratatat's LP4 quite a bit. I also went through a pretty long phase with Bon Iver. If any of you are into Owen then you'd probably like His Name Shall Breathe. His stuff used to be really hard to dig up until he got it on itunes. He deleted his myspace page for some reason and as far as I know he doesn't have much of an online presence anymore. Here's a link to a page that talks about him a little bit and offers a few songs for streaming. Check out "55th and Halsey" first, it is probably the most immediately accessible song to someone that is unfamiliar with his music. http://www.cavacool.com/album/his-name- ... ide-of-me/

personally liked their debut alot but afterwards they started getting too weird for my tastes
I agree for the most part. I liked the EP almost as much as the self-titled album, especially Hands In The Sky.

You might like The Hush Sound if you like Straylight!

Yah, I only discovered they had new CD's actually a few days ago, oops
But the first two, are my favorite, and actually I do like The Hush Sound!
Just haven't listened to them in awhile, a 4GB iPod, really cuts back on that ._.

Does anyone else like Third Eye Blind? They came out with a CD pretty close to when SA came out and its actually kind of amazing. Its called Ursa Major.

Also, I was late to the Vampire Weekend bus, but yeah, they're awesome too.

I saw Hush Sound a few times. I like the Like Vines CD but otherwise I wasn't down.

i ADORE these guys, i fell in love immediately after i heard the pftgas ep. a lot of people say they're a say anything knock-off, but i think they're one of the best pop bands around today.

I really enjoy them also. They aren't groundbreaking or anything, but they do make good music and I can see how they might be influenced by SA. My favorite pop rock bands are The Dangerous Summer, Fun., The Matches and I just recently got into Foxy Shazam.

Foxy Shazam is wonderful! I liked the first CD better but the second is great too.

YMAEWK is alright. I really liked some of their stuff, but most of it made me just go meh that was alright.
Every time someone mentions YMAEWK, though, I think of this clip from the movie Me and You and Everyone We Know...
