Currently Playing (Video Game Edition)

Post by Scott » Mon Oct 25, 2010 4:31 pm

So here's how this works... we can talk about what we're playing currently! We had a "best" thread but what are we doing now!

Currently I am playing Bioshock 2 and Halo Reach (online only). I really want to play through Torchlight but I got bored of the demo without other people in the game. That and they haven't dropped the damn price (even though 20 dollars is cheap I doubt its 20 dollars worth of content with no multiplayer...)

I am currently playing:

Shadow Complex
Fallout: New Vegas

Shadow Complex has been out for a long while now I guess. I got the demo recently and immidiately bought the full game because it was so good. I highly Reccomend it. Its possibly one of the best games on the 360. New Vegas on the other hand... Fallout 3 was a pretty epic game but if you liked it DONT PLAY NEW VEGAS. Its at least 2.5X harder than F3 (reguardless of difficulty setting) and feels nothing like it. NV is a good game, just not nearly as good as F3.
I am too afraid to like you,
I can't find a word to speak.
But, if i could, i'd talk so good
that you would be with me.

Totally disagree with Revenge!!!. Fallout NV may be a little more challenging in the beginning, but it levels out eventually. And it feels VERY similar to F3, and some things are done better like the fighting mechanics and how you can pit different factions against each other. That being said, it's very equal to F3 (minus the glitchiness) in my eyes and this is coming from someone who's favorite game was F3 for a long time.

I didn't like that a new developer is doing NV so I didn't get it.

Shadow Complex really was a great game. I dont like all those indie side scrollers coming out trying to capitalize on this retro fad but that one was a step above. The only other side scroller of late that I enjoyed was Mega Man 9 because it was brutal.

But definitely try the demo!!

I loved the first one. Really atmospheric and it's nice to like hack a bunch of turrets and drag a big daddy into a trap.

I tried to get into fable 2 and couldn't do it. Same with 1. I don't think this one will sway me.
